My Background


My experience with training competitive rowers began in New Zealand 2001. Training club rowers from Westend Rowing Club (Auckland). My First competitive rowing client  was Carolyn Steele, she won the New Zealand lightweight single-sculls title after our fist season training together. During the last 14 years I have strength trained male and female competitive rowers ranging from elite to beginner.


I have developed a large number of rowing specific linear and non-linear periodised strength programmes covering off and on-season training.


I will take into consideration the bio-mechanics, experience level and goals of the individual athletes when designing their gym based strength programmes. My programmes cover strength, power, endurance, flexibility, myofascia release exercises, stability and rehabilitation work.

Strength Training Sessions for Rowing

Session Information  


First session includes planning macro-cycles for the year and a meso-cycle for the next 2 – 3 weeks.


All workouts include a training session and meso-cycle programme for the next 2-3 weeks.

Sessions also include nutritional programming for Heavy or Light weight rowers.


Individual training sessions to be held at two locations in Clifton Bristol. I can travel for squad sessions of 4+ athletes within the Bristol area..



Includes: Programme design, Nutrional support and 1 hour workout session

£35 per session for an individual

£10 per person for squad training (4+)

£5 per person for squad training (6+)
